UGH think I failed the NCLEX RN

Published

Did PVT and didnt get the good pop up. Guess I will verify my failure on monday ugh and than start around two of the NCLEX. Any advice... I soo upset right now.:crying2:

Wait for your official results, for now relax, have some fun and remember its not the end of the world. I failed my first time and now Im preparing to retake it. I went straight to the cc page and failed, but you never know. If it comes back as fail, start brand new. My first time I study probably for 2 weeks so it was my mistake. Im not sure which material you used to study but Im currently using Saunders, LaCharity, exam cram and great information and tips from allnurses, Im feeling more confident this time. Stay positive

I did Kaplan and I have Sauders the 4ed. If you fail Kaplan will paid to retake the course so that will be helpful. Its soo stressfull. I know its not a big deal to fail the first time many people do its just a huge blow to my confidence. Thanks for sharing.

Did you go straight to credit card page?

Hello CatD, try not to feel bad about it. Although, PVT is reliable, you could pass it. You never know. If ever it does turn out the other way, don't hold it back against you. Pay more attention to your weaknesses, review the contents which I think is a must, practice, practice questions, and do not let a question by without applying critical thinking. I'm taking mine in soon and I am doing Kaplan too. I have noticed that if I don't really pay attention and think of it outside the box, I'd easily get the question wrong. It frustrates me when I'm down to two answers and finally pick the wrong choice. I guess it all means that I still lack of knowledge or I'm not critically thinking well.

How was your scores on the trainers and qbank if you don't mind me asking. I'm in the low to mid 50's. Yup, it sucks. I have yet to take the Q6-7 and about 60% done of the qbank average 54%. What made you think you didn't make it? Of course, other than going through the cc page. Any advise you could spare now that you've done and took it? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks and goodluck to 'ya! Still hope for the BEST! :)

My Qbank score was between 60 and 70 % and the trainers at 60 %. I know i failed the facted it went to the cc page and I got all 265. I would a lot of people pass with all the question, but i am not that lucky. Keep doing the Kaplan question they were very similiar and there screen is the same as the NCLEX. Know prioritizing and delegation.

Give yourself a couple of days to feel depressed, then get going again. Study as if you had never tested before, to prevent your mind from tricking you into skipping over or glossing over any area because you "think" that you already know it.
