I dont know if it has something to do with this I got an email recently about this; btw, im currently a participant with NHSC LRP, and received the award last yr, 2017 cycle [h=1]Update: How the Government Shutdown Impacts the NHSC[/h] Due to the absence of either an FY 2018 appropriation or Continuing Resolution for the Department of Health and Human Services, the Federal Government is shutdown. At this time that National Health Service Corps programs (i.e., Loan Repayment and Scholarship) will not be directly impacted by the shutdown due to funds being previously appropriated for these programs. However, if government personnel are in furlough status, day-to-day government operations may be impacted and delays in responding to your inquiries and requests may occur. We appreciate your consideration during this time.

sorry to hear that, I also have a friend that was a finalist and got his letter on sept 6, but did not get the award also. I felt guilty when I was cheering on him, telling him that he will most likely get it as like RN4KU stated i have been reading forums and never seen a finalist not being awarded, I guess they changed this time and became hard now to get the award.

Just an update! I got my welcome packet today! So happy Anyways, I got the finalist letter Aug 22, 2017; Countersigned by OFAM approver on Sept 7 and got the welcome packet today Sept 18 :) WOOT; Good luck to everyone!

are you talking about Nurse corps or NHSC LRP? isn't it tax free for LRP?

I just noticed that one, i have one hard inquiry with Credco last Aug 10.

Still havent gotten it or its not for sure yet i guess, thats why i asked on my previous post, cause it was my first time applying. They still say its not a guarantee and still need the counter signature of the secretary. But im hoping í ½í¸Š.

I got the award acceptance letter for NHSC LRP not the Corps; It automatically dropped me when I accepted it. It still says it is not guaranteed lol so I still don't know how it works

Hi RN4KU, I haven't gotten any award letter or notification to accept an award for Nurse Corps. I also applied there. However, when I accepted the award from NHSC LRP, it automatically drop/declined my application in Nurse Corps. So I guess less competition for other people for Nurse corps LOL. I only have 3 days to accept it, so I just grabbed it and I'd rather get the LRP coz its max award is 50k, and I have about only 45k more to pay for my loan. Nurse corps will only pay 60%. You can apply for both, but can only accept one award.
