Hey everyone!
I don't think there is a September 2016 page yet so I thought I would make one. :) What grades and how many hours are you all applying with? I need people to wait nervously with me.
The questions on the essay are focused on how you work or react to things as an individual. The best thing you can do to prepare is some self reflection, think about how you work and problem solve and how you may react to various situations.
The interviews are very much the same, don't worry about being nervous, everyone feels the same way! The instructors are quick to make you feel comfortable and can see past the nervousness! Good luck everyone!
The info session tonight was good. If you've done some research on the program then it'll be old news to you- It was honestly no new information to me but it was nice seeing how many people applied.
I think she said that around 120 applicants or so total were invited to both info sessions and that around 96 or so will get interviews for 48 spots.
We had 3 questions to answer and there was no minimum paragraph length. My paragraphs were a decent length, some peoples were short and others had the entire space used up. The questions were really easy to answer, just back up your thoughts and you'll all be fine. She did also say that if you don't hear back from them a week after the info session with an email for an interview that you won't be getting one.
Hi guys
I'm in a huge panic, I totally lost track of time yesterday and missed the info night! I called to make sure I could still include my essay in my interview time and the receptionist sounded pretty mad that I'd missed it! Anybody have anything they can share that was discussed at the info nights?
95% of what was talked about was really just everything on the BSN page on the UFV site as well as the email sent out including the skills for being an RN from CRNBC.
Only new info was the amount of spots open for September and to check if you've done certain electives and plan on transferring them over.
Hey! I followed the chat for the January intake. I made it to the information session but not the interview. I decided to upgrade two of my course which I'm doing right now and I'm also getting more volunteer time as well. Without this current semesters hard work, I have 2As, 2Bs and 2 years full time work at a care home which would equal out to... 4160 hrs?
I was invited to the information session and interview this time around for September intake. I'm super excited! UFV won't be taking my upgraded grades I'm completing right now but VIU is allowing me to update them before March 31st. I would love to be accepted here, at Chilliwack BSN program... But as everyone who has applied more than once, it is really competitive.

Emcave, mine is on the 14th and I feel like I wish I had picked a later date so I could have more time to prepare! So nervous about stumbling on my words or not knowing how to answer a question. Does anyone know the types of questions that they ask?
