UFV Sept 2013

Published

I am starting a thread for UFV, Sept 2013 applicants (thus the title)

I am a Jan 2013 reject and hoping for a spot in the fall. Is anyone here a repeat applicant?

I'll pm you the link! (If anyone else has problems finding it, just say so and I'll pm you the link as well!)

Hi,

I'm also having issues finding the group :( can you also give me the link ?

Thanks :)

Got it now thank you :)

i am also having trouble finding the group :o

I am also having difficulty finding the group.

Sorry everyone! Not sure why it's not able to be found by just searching for it, but I've been sending links to everyone and that's been working! Keep letting me know if you can't find it and I'll forward the link.

I was wondering if everyone else has received their letter and acceptance package yet. I received mine in the mail yesterday and the letter says that all complete immunization records and criminal record check is to be submitted by May 31, 2013. I went to the Abbotsford Public Health yesterday to make an appointment for my vaccinations and the earliest I could get in is June 12, 2013. Any one else in the same predicament as me? I called UFV and was told to email the Program Assistant to let her know my situation. I did and haven't received a reply yet. May 31 is approaching fast.

I also received mine yesterday. It will be tight for me to get everything in. Did you try calling a travel clinic for vaccinations? If they do the vaccinations you need, they should be able to get you in sooner...

Stay-strong, do you actually need any vaccinations or you just want to get the titre test done to check for immunity? Like Bigdreamss said, try the travel clinics for the TB test and any immunizations you need. I got an appt there for the TB test on Monday (so I get results on the 29th). For the immunizations I just needed the titre done, so I went to the walk-in clinic yesterday to get a requisition filled out and took it to BC Biomedical to get my blood test. Took an hour tops to do both. They said results in about a week (they mail the results to you, but said I can just call my doctor next week and ask if they can print out a copy to get it sooner). So IF my results only take a week, I'll have everything for Wednesday next week...which is still cutting it close.

I'm sure they'll give you an extension. I'll probably ask for one too just in case. The Public Health clinics just seem to take a lot longer to get appointments.

I can't seem to find the link either.

Has anyone paid the $200 deposit fee yet? I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Can it be done online? I'm unfamiliar with the UFV system so I'm not sure quite yet how to navigate my account haha.

You can pay it through online banking. Your student number is your account number.
