Ufv 2021 fall nursing

World Canada CA Programs

Hey everyone,

This is a thread for everybody applying for the UFV Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program for the Fall (September) 2021 intake.

We can talk about our grades and GPA's, volunteer or work experience's, other schools we're applying to and so forth.

I submitted my application beginning of October when the applications opened up and applied with 3 A’s and 1 B in Pre calc 11. I also have about 800 hours at a hospital and 80 hours at a care home.

Good Luck everybody!

Hello! Do you know when you will be giving up your seat? Congratulations on getting into BCIT!

Hey just to let you guys know, I emailed UFV health studies last night to let them know that I am declining my seat (I didn't have an option come up to decline or accept when checking my application status) so hopefully someone will be getting that offer soon! I accepted at UBCO. Best of luck to all of you with your studies!

Hey guys, thank you for people letting us know if you will be declining you seat!! Puts a better perspective for people who are on the wait list.

What is the deadline to either accept or decline your seat in the program ?

I believe July 15th!

Does anyone know how many applicants UFV had for the fall intake?

I've also been accepted! Congrats guys!!
I've also been accepted at VIU so chances are I'm going to decline my acceptance at UFV.

My grades were:

BIO 12: A

FOM 12: A

CHEM 12: A

ENGL 12: A

I also had about 200 hospital volunteer hrs from two different locations and one was a leadership position.

For my essay, I prepped by watching some ted talks about nursing LOL and a couple of Youtube vids.

this was also my 2nd time apply with my first being the JAN 2021 intake

Best of luck to you all!!

Hey! Congrats on getting in at UFV. Are you going to UFV or VIU? If VIU, why?

Just to let you guys know I heard back from UFV earlier today that they received my request to decline my admission offer, hopefully someone on the waitlist gets their acceptance soon!

I have read a few posts on here from mature students and I am wondering what you did if your prerequisites were taken more than 5 years ago. For entrance it says online for courses such as Bio/Chem/Math/Eng (within 5 years prior to enrolment). I am wondering if there is anyone who had to retake all these classes or if they were successful in having a PLAR (prior learning assessment) completed??

Hi!

I had to retake all of the courses except English. I believe my university level English  course replaced the English 12.

Hope this helps.

I have all the pre req. and actually took them all at UFV when I completed an earlier degree. It is going to be difficult as I didn't think you could retake the same courses for credit again. When you are retaking the courses were they university level? Thanks for the reply and good luck to you
