This is a thread for everybody applying for the UFV Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program for the Fall (September) 2021 intake.
We can talk about our grades and GPA's, volunteer or work experience's, other schools we're applying to and so forth.
I submitted my application beginning of October when the applications opened up and applied with 3 A’s and 1 B in Pre calc 11. I also have about 800 hours at a hospital and 80 hours at a care home.
I think that my essay in of itself was well written. I managed a full 5 paragraph essay and I mentioned a lot of key terminology, answering the question as creatively as possible.
I’m just worried that I didn’t answer the question directly enough because I ran out of time nearing the conclusion.
I honestly feel like I didn’t have enough time to write as specifically and organized as I wanted to but I feel like my answers were relevant to nursing and showed my values aligned w the profession well, I managed 5 paragraphs
Thirty minutes goes by deseptivly fast, I'm sure we're all in the same boat. I think with a lot of this you have to relate it to how it will reflect on how you will be a nurse and a nursing student.

I feel the same way! I answered the question more so on the impacts but I did not relate any of my answers to nursing so now IDK if I missed the mark
I haven't heard anything either. I applied with an A- in chem (I can't remember the percentage), 94% in bio, 96% in english, and 100% in foundations of math.

Hey, I actually was at KPU initially and was going to finish my nursing program there but apparently they have a long waitlist even after you do the pre-reqs and have a good GPA like I heard u need almost a 4.0 to get into the actual nursing program. I heard of UFV’s nursing program recently and I’m sure it’s competitive as well but I’m hoping for the best. I haven’t heard back yet from them it just says “ready for review by program” on my file currently.
Did you get in ? Any update on your application?
