UF's Generic BSN Program Fall 2012

Hi Guys! I haven't seen any threads for this coming fall semester for UF, so i decided to start one.

I'll start by saying my name is Naomi & I have applied for entry into the GENERIC Fall 2012 BSN program. I'm a Jacksonville, FL native and I am praying for this acceptance so I can get started with nursing school, finish, and start my career. I am super excited because I love Gainesville and UF. I think it is a terrific school, as I have a few friends who attend there. When I applied I had a 3.31 overall GPA, and I'm not quite sure how to calculate my science GPA, (if anyone can help me with that, I'll definitely appreciate it!) but I feel I wrote a great essay, so hopefully along with that and my prayers, I will get accepted. I am already claiming it!

Well, I wish you guys who applied the best of luck and I hope to see you all this coming fall semester. =)

I guess this can be a means of communication for those out there with any questions or comments regarding the application/review process, or anything else you're curious to know.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Samantha, and I applied for this fall as well! I just came across this and have been reading through the thread. I currently attend USF (who i am also waiting to hear from). It was good to read through and see that I am not alone is the anxiousness as well as the worries about transferring over. I saw you talked about housing which has been a big worry of mine seeing as I have never been to Gainesville and I don't know anyone there! I look forward to talking with you guys!!

It's nice to know everyone else is just as nervous as I am. I live in Gainesville and just checked the mail. Nothing came in.

After reading some of the previous posts, I checked my holds and I have one for immunizations.

My cumulative GPA is ~ 3.8; and my pre-req is ~3.65.

If any of you have trouble or need more information about apartments around here, feel free to ask. I've already lived in two different apartment complexes and have seen SO many in the process.

Did any of you get an e-mail on Tuesday from Ken about needing your spring transcript before wednesday at noon? I got one to him right away, but was kinda confused.

Not sure what you meant by which I thought was better....and What school are you at now?!

As far as single living I think you might have some difficulty. There are a few like maybe 2 or 3 (according to my roommate)

right around campus that offer it, and I am not too sure on how popular that is either as far as availability will go.

if you google UF Application Status, it will take you right to the page and at the bottom you press continue. It will ask for your gatorlink information and it'll take you right there =)
