UF BSN-DNP 2014

Published

Hi! Anyone apply to the DNP program for fall 2014 at the University of Florida?

thank you and congrats to you all who have been accepted elswhere! sorry samiam856, your situation seems very difficult, actually starting a program without even hearing from UF, but congrats for being accepted to your school! best of luck!

Thanks guys! I know they're having issues, but it's still frustrating. Guess they say everything happens for a reason. I'll have to put my gator nurse dreams on hold haha. Good luck! I hope yall get in! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I have heard they were really set back because of the staffing changes. Even though I was told letters would be sent at the end of the month, I'm not certain if they will even come then, maybe even later. Trying to be patient ?.

Nothing today in the mail.

Has anyone heard approximately how many applicants they have to go through? I heard USA had over 500 for fall admission. Was wondering what UFs numbers were like.

Not sure because they accept people on a rolling basis so the number changes daily. I know that the track that you applied to matters more than the amount of total applicants because certain specialties are in high demand such as: Family and Adult. Since UF is the only place that I would want to go ( I don't want to uproot) I have kind of accepted the waiting process.

Question: Could somebody please let me know the estimated cost of attendance? I really need to know. Yes, I checked the bursar website but I don't know whether to calculate the credits as "grad 5555-9999 level" or just use the "PA" credit fee.

This may sound crazy but....I actually want to attempt to pay my way through grad school without loans. BUT, I have applied to the part-time track.:nailbiting:

When they emailed me to tell my my admission package was complete the email said "the current in-state tuition rate is $526.75 per credit hour and the non-resident rate is $1251.47 per credit hour. This rate will be going up for the next academic year. On average the tuition rate goes up between 12-15%."

I've been watching this board in hopes of hearing something exciting. I've applied for the AG-ACNP track and am feeling the anxiety also. I spoke with the CON today just to see if there was any update and they said the end of the month.

That just seems so far away, but it's getting closer everyday.

I just keep telling myself that it's only two weeks...

I'm getting so impatient! I'm hoping they decide to send out the decisions via email so we don't have to wait any longer than necessary!

I wish I knew the stats for admission. How many applicants vs spots etc..... I found this article from a few years ago online that said there were 83 spots in the DNP program. It didn't break down tracks though. So I don't know if that's total number or what.

But I'm also ready for some kind of notification! :)
