UF BSN to DNP Fall 2020

Hi everyone! Who else is applying for Fall 2020 DNP? I applied for part-time PNP program. I can't wait for decisions to come out!!

Has anyone heard for pediatric acute care or the new pediatric primary-acute they're beginning to incorporate!?

No emails or update on nursing CAS. I already got a call (Peds Primary) but I really still want something official. Feels weird without it.

TAY., I was asked about whether I would be interested in a dual peds primary-acute care program but was told that we wouldn’t know anything until orientation.

@amanda_kling I'm SO confused. I applied pedi-acute and got a call about 2 weeks ago from the director of I believe the acute care pedi program and was asked the same thing. He kind of went over expectations about clinical sites and if I was interested in the dual which I sad yes, but I was never told I was accepted. It def felt that way though since we spoke for 30 minutes about the program. Ugh I want an email LOL I need it it writing. Let us know when you guys get written word. Hopefully soon because its driving me crazy !

WOW!. I am wondering if I should have applied to acute care instead, because I had plans on doing Acute care afterwards if I got in. Under what circumstances were they offering this. Are they doing a FNP/acute care dual program? Or is this just pediatrics? And did they offer this to only peds who applied to acute or both primary peds to see if they wanted both? I know you may not be able to talk about it but it would be interesting to hear? Thanks .

@jabrier I honestly have no idea. It appears people that applied for pedi primary got the same call I received. I dont know if they're doing it for adults.

I am a PNP with MSN applying to UF post masters certificate program and DNP program. I was told that they postponed reviewing the applications until July 2020 for the post masters pediatric acute care program because of COVID. They said they are reviewing the MSN-DNP applications though and we should get notified later this month or beginning of May.

Oh gosh sorry for stirring up the pot. I’m with everyone else though... Just want official word. The dual was for peds only though as far as I understood. It was more of a survey type question... like they aren’t sure if they are actually going to offer that just yet. They are trying to gauge interest.

So if they are currently reviewing MSN-DNP applications, what about the BSN-DNP applications ?
