Hello Everyone!

I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!

Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)

I sent my petition in, and I spoke to Ken this week. He said he was going to give us results by the end of the week. It's now Friday almost 10 PM and still haven't heard from them. I assume they'll let us know by Monday.

You probably didn't hear from CON because the confirmation of acceptance wasn't due until today... so they have to give everyone who was accepted time to reply to their letters. But I hope you hear something soon!

He said everything wouldn't be confirmed by the 20th. They will try to contact anyone who hasn't responded who was accepted. They also have to go through our petitions to see if we get on the wait list. You would think they would go ahead and get that done but it may depend perhaps. Maybe if only five people decline their spot and there is 20-25 people on the wait list already they will just deny our petitions. Or if they go through the entire wait list we it will be accepted. I don't know. Just making guesses. But hopefully we hear something this week either way. I wonder how many people petitioned...

Hey everyone, current accelerated student here! I see you guys got your letters! Congrats to those who were accepted and to those wait listed and rejected, DON'T LOSE HOPE! I was wait listed and was told to accept any other school that offered me a spot (Ken told me that there was't going to be enough space). A week later (exactly a year ago today), Ken gave me a call and offered me a spot. Some of my classmates were rejected/petitioned and got in. Another did not find out about their acceptance until the day before class started! I know this is stressful, trust me, been there and done that...but you all have a chance! If it doesn't work out, don't sweat it, you ALL have the potential to become excellent future nurses!

I have. I was denied. Did you not hear back from them yet? I received an email on Monday.

Just got a call from Mr. Foote and was taken off of the wait list and accepted! Super excited about being a Gator Nurse!! There's still hope for you guys, so don't count yourselves out. :)
