Hello Everyone!

I'm getting this forum started early for those who are applying to the UF College of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program!

Feel free to get the discussion going... How do you stand among others (GRE, GPA, etc)? Go Gators! :)

I didn't get in.

Anyone going to petition?

I think I am going to petition. I was put on the wait list initially. Received the petition from Ken Foote this morning; it's due by March 20.

Do you mind sharing your stats?

Yes, I was not accepted and will be petitioning

I live in Jacksonville and received my letter last Saturday, March 7.

I got added to the wait list. Does anyone know what the process to petition is?

Congrats to all who got in!

I was wait-listed as well, and I contacted UFCON and I was informed that those accepted must respond by 3/20. After UFCON gets all the responses in, they then will re-evaluate the spots that remain open and then go to the wait-list. They did mention, if you were not accepted and petition and they accept your petition, you will then be added to the wait-list. Your "position" will be after those who were originally wait-listed. Also, if you were wait-listed originally, there is no need to petition since this action can only produce a result of your name being added to the wait-list. Hope this helps!

My GRE scores weren't super impressive: 155 on quantitative and 163 in verbal. My pre-req GPA was 3.7, overall was 3.3 (with my last 60 credit hours being somewhere in the middle).

This doesn't take into consideration my references, written statement or CV though. I feel pretty proud of those things. Hope thats helpful!

Also: Thanks, @GATORABSN339! Ken Foote contacted me this morning to pass along the same info :)

Aren't there like 25 people on the wait list? So they would all get spots before us ( if we got on the list and if not all on the wait list accepted)?

I am not sure officially how many people are on the wait list. But you never know what could happen :)

I petitioned and am waiting to see if I get wait listed.

I submitted my petition and waiting on a status update as well .
