UF Accelerated BSN, Summer 2018

Hi all!

It's pretty early on but I'd love to meet and chat with the potential applicants for this program. I also think it'd be great to have this forum in case we stumble upon application questions and such. Maybe some successful applicants in the past may pop in to say hello as well!

What are your feelings about this program or even UF in general? Are you applying to other programs? Where are you from?

Thanks! Yeah I was reading last year's forum and most people said that their application stayed on verified and only after decisions were out or something did it say completed.

Hi all! I am also applying to the UF Accelerated Program! After reading the current and previous years threads, I am seeing many had their transcripts sent to Nursing CAS. When looking through the FAQ for Nursing CAS, it is advising that there is a button that appears on your "colleges attended" page that allows you to print the Transcript Request Form. Did everyone else have this button? If not, how did you go about sending your transcripts? My transcripts will be coming from UF and can only be mailed.

Does anyone know how we complete the online assessment of student attributes that they ask for on nursingcas. Its the last thing i need to do, and i have no idea what to do.thank you

My understanding is that we will be sent information regarding the assessment if we qualify.

Yeah. I believe someone said Kenneth mentioned the assessment info would be sent out after the deadline passes.

I did not see this button but When I asked the advisor this question: "Do we have to submit a transcript to NursingCas or just upload an unofficial transcript?" He replied saying: "Unofficial Transcript" so all I did was upload the unofficial transcript. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Can someone clarify what essay #10 means (use and recall plan and what system I would use)?

Hey! #10 is asking what you use to memorize things. For example, I wrote about being able to organize things by the big picture, the main idea, and then the fine print. I also am an active learner. An active learner is someone who must act out something (writing, performing, drawing, etc) to help memorize. I hope this helps!
