UF Accelerated BSN, Summer 2018

Hi all!

It's pretty early on but I'd love to meet and chat with the potential applicants for this program. I also think it'd be great to have this forum in case we stumble upon application questions and such. Maybe some successful applicants in the past may pop in to say hello as well!

What are your feelings about this program or even UF in general? Are you applying to other programs? Where are you from?

Did he happen to mention what the assessment would cover?

Hey guys! Just got the assessment email like 2 hours ago. I plan to take it soon but that will basically be a confirmation that everything was received. I saw that the email was copied to ~204 other people. I don't know if they did any screening to everybody they sent it to or what.

Hey all! I received it as well!! I noticed that there are 237 people that the email was sent to.

I got mine about an hour ago. It looks like he's doing it in sections then.

From the email, I'm guessing the assessment is like the ones you might get when doing an online application for a job, where you have statements like, "The customer is always right" or "Teamwork is more important than being right" and you have to click from strongly agree to strongly disagree. I've got to decide when I want to sit down and do it.

Awesome! I guess a "few weeks" meant the next day. I'm just glad this forum exists or else I'd be biting my nails until February!

I looked and my email was sent to 270 different people, so it looks like there's at least 700 applicants then, assuming three of us were in different like email groups? I might be able to get them making me pay $55 more for an assessment then, even though it hurts my poor wallet.

I do wonder how many spots they fill though. I don't see the info on their website.

When I first spoke to him, he said there were like 100 something in Gville and 100 or so in Jax. That could be the case that he's doing it in sections. I recognized some of my classmates' emails in the email group.

Hello! I just completed the assessment that was sent to us in email, but it never asked for any information to pay the fee. Did this happen to anyone else? I just want to make sure they're going to receive my assessment!

Hello everyone, I also applied to the ABSN program at UF. Does anyone know when the deadline is to hear something concerning the approval or denial?

There are 36 spots for each program

No assessment sent to me, but I can't say I'm totally heart broken as I've been accepted at some others schools closer to home. Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone, I also applied to the ABSN program at UF. Does anyone know when the deadline is to hear something concerning the approval or denial?

I haven't seen an official date, but the last two years, decisions were out mid to late February.
