UF Accelerated BSN, Summer 2018

U.S.A. Florida

Hi all!

It's pretty early on but I'd love to meet and chat with the potential applicants for this program. I also think it'd be great to have this forum in case we stumble upon application questions and such. Maybe some successful applicants in the past may pop in to say hello as well!

What are your feelings about this program or even UF in general? Are you applying to other programs? Where are you from?

I've only had my official transcripts sent to NursingCAS until now. I know that on the Academic History portion you literally have to go through and add every singe course taken, what semester, grade, etc. Apparently each school is different about unofficial versus official transcript but now I see what your talking about on uploading. I just tried and it seemed to work for me.

Same here. My confusion is stemming from where I need to obtain them. I can access it via Florida virtual campus but it has all of my attended schools on one document (I can't access them separately it seems). So I'm not sure if I should upload the same file for each school... haha.

Ah, gotcha! Man, I wish mine were all on one!

Hopefully even with a preference, they will offer you the other campus if they can't accommodate you on the one you prefer. Though I'm not entirely sure I'd accept if I was offered a spot at Gainesville. I'm right outside Jax, so it'll save me a lot more money if I am able to go to UF in Jax or UNF.

And I don't see anywhere to upload unofficial transcripts. Am I missing something I need to do here?

Application is up guys on Nursing Cas yayyyyyyy ready set go!!!

Hey guys, does anyone know a way to submit letters of rec if I have them on interfolio? I know you can use the feature on interfolio to put in an email but it didn't work for another school I applied to because they asked extra questions.

I contacted Kenneth but he was no help, just said interfolio is the only way to submit the letters. I had better luck with the other school who provided me a specific email to send them to and they submitted it to nursingcas for me.

It pretty much looks like you have to use the NursingCAS system. I'm going to assume it also asks the additional questions.

Hey guys, when entering your transcript course info it says at the bottom that we only enter our pre reqs and no other courses? Am I understanding that correctly?

Also where are we supposed to submit our answers to the questions?

It looks like it. They will get the rest of your grades with the official transcripts. And the answers are submitted at the end. There is a tab for the "essay" in the section where you also put your references.

do we have to apply to UF separately than from the nursingcas website? I saw that we need a UF ID but idk how to get that.

Yes you have to complete the Post Baccalaureate Application as well. Which I am now seeing is online?? Up until now I was under the impression that it was a physical application which is what I mailed in but now I am seeing that there is now an online process. Has anyone else noticed this??

UPDATE- he said to mail in the application.

I have started to fill out the Post-bacc application online and it asks for your program of study but it only gives you the option of Dietetics or Geomatics. I emailed Kenneth so I will let everyone know what he says about the online application.

For program of study you put Graduate study pre reqs and the program should come up from there. I ran into the same issue and ended up just looking under all of them and eventually found it. I also looked and Kenneth had apparently emailed someone else to choose that as their program of study on the physical application.
