2013 UF Accelerated BSN Applicants!

U.S.A. Florida

HiEveryone!

I am gatorguy3380, and I am planning on applying to the UF Accelerated BSNprogram beginning in 2013! I have been steadily working my way through my prerequisites and am studying for my GRE as we speak. I have been eyeing thisprogram for a while and have found that this thread is a great way to shareexpectations and successes for those pursuing entrance into this prestigiousprogram.

So it seems like everyone on here likes to know each other's "stats."So since I seem to be the originator here you go! I have a BS from FlaglerCollege in St. Augustine that I received 6 years ago. My GPA from my last 60was 3.55. I have completed Human Nutrition, Statistics, Human Growth andDevelopment, and A&P 1, all with A's. My overall college GPA is just a hairover a 3.0. I am currently in Micro and plan on taking A&P II in the springjust prior to admission. I am 32, a male, and used to be a law enforcementofficer. I feel that with a combination of my academics and my personalexperiences, with a solid GRE score (which I haven't taken yet) and stay ontrack with my pre-reqs I stand a good chance of getting in!

Just because I posted my info, there is no need to post yours. I like the ideaof meeting some of my future cohorts on this life course change and createdthis tread so that we could all find a sense of comfort in a tiny sharedcommunity! Good luck to all and I will enjoy interacting with you here!

Hey everyone, I attended UF years ago but my ISIS Degree Audit is still under my Spanish major from back then in 2004. When I click on Reg Prep, the College and Major are blank, and when I click on "Continue" it tells me registration times for summer/fall have not been assigned. Based on what others have said, I feel its a bad sign for me. That being said, I'm sure everyones ISIS info is going to look different somehow...between current students, past students, and students who have not attended yet. I really wish there was a way we could check a definitive answer electronically! I will post regardless of the outcome for me. Good luck to everyone!!

Im in the same boat as you nothing has changed on my ISIS but who knows really like you said regardless of the outcome we all just want to know.

Joy, I'm in the same boat as you...mine is showing my undergrad from 2006 so hopefully we aren't in a sinking boat ^^

I'm thinking that some of what I've been seeing on ISIS is an error, because it doesn't really make sense and everyone has different things posted to their accounts.

Joy, I'm not sure if it really means anything at all. It was just interesting/exciting to see some change, but who really knows (beside CON :wacky: ) In my Reg Prep, my College and Major is blank just like yours. It's my Degree Audit that has "UF NR-NRS 2012" which was new for me as well as my maiden name being updated and Holds changing from "record not found" to no holds. At the very least I know that someone, somewhere updated something for some reason.

gatorguy, I just checked my ISIS and I believe i now have the same hold you have. "You may not register until you meet the immunization requirement. Please contact the Student Health Care Center in the Infirmary Building or call (352) 392-1161, option 2."

Is that new for you? If I recall you are not a current UF student. I have a feeling that may be the reason. Do any non UF students NOT have that message? If we knew that, that would tell us something.

Yes, this was new for me. I was "Record not found" until yesterday. Then I was no holds until this afternoon. And now I have the immunization hold. I'm not a current student so like you I assume it's because I am new, but I also know we will have to submit a mandatory immunization health history form and registration is blocked until that document is received and accepted. What about everyone else? Any holds?

Anyone know if the letters were sent yet? I have the opportunity to stop home and check my mail between things this afternoon, but won't waste my time if they haven't left UF yet.

@ddl77 I emailed Kent on when letters will be sent out he stated letters should be going out within the next week. My ISIS still hasnt changed I really hope that is not a bad sign for me. Have a great day!

Last year, they posted on their website when they sent them out. It said "Accelerated decisions were sent out on XXXXX day" so maybe they will do that again? I'm assuming within then next week means 7 days from now, which would kindof make sense since starting tomorrow UF is on spring break...they probably know some people will be out of town...therefore holding off sending them until they know people have returned to town...just my guess :(

Oh okay... I thought when people were talking on here they were told they were going to be sent this week. Oh well!
