2013 UF Accelerated BSN Applicants!

U.S.A. Florida

HiEveryone!

I am gatorguy3380, and I am planning on applying to the UF Accelerated BSNprogram beginning in 2013! I have been steadily working my way through my prerequisites and am studying for my GRE as we speak. I have been eyeing thisprogram for a while and have found that this thread is a great way to shareexpectations and successes for those pursuing entrance into this prestigiousprogram.

So it seems like everyone on here likes to know each other's "stats."So since I seem to be the originator here you go! I have a BS from FlaglerCollege in St. Augustine that I received 6 years ago. My GPA from my last 60was 3.55. I have completed Human Nutrition, Statistics, Human Growth andDevelopment, and A&P 1, all with A's. My overall college GPA is just a hairover a 3.0. I am currently in Micro and plan on taking A&P II in the springjust prior to admission. I am 32, a male, and used to be a law enforcementofficer. I feel that with a combination of my academics and my personalexperiences, with a solid GRE score (which I haven't taken yet) and stay ontrack with my pre-reqs I stand a good chance of getting in!

Just because I posted my info, there is no need to post yours. I like the ideaof meeting some of my future cohorts on this life course change and createdthis tread so that we could all find a sense of comfort in a tiny sharedcommunity! Good luck to all and I will enjoy interacting with you here!

nettegator, my registration prep screens are identical to yours, I'm not a UF student either. On my holds screen it only says that I may not register until I meet the immunization requirement, do you see that as well? My degree audit says "UF FA-UND 2013." No idea what that means.

Trinity are you a UF student?

gatorguy3380, I have nothing mentioning immunization records. My degree audit has "UF NR-NRS 2012."

Yes... Is it just something that everyone has? I'm graduating in spring though and my degree audit is complete

I don't have a registration date assigned, but I guess it's because I am not a current UF student

I also have a registration day; however, I am a UF student...but I graduate in May. I hope it is all a good sign but maybe it just means you were accepted as a post-bac to the school and its being referred to the CON. I would assume you would have to accept your spot in the nursing program before they allow you to register...I could be wrong, hopefully I am :)...good luck guys, we will know soon.

If any of you guys get letters from Friday on, can you post? I will not be in Gainesville beginning Thursday night, so I'm going to have to have someone check my mail during spring break :(

That's why I asked... I have no idea if everyone gets a registration time or not...

My registration prep shows "record not found." There is no registration date. If I check Admissions it still says I have no active applications, just like it did throughout the entire process.

Eh, there's still time.

The waiting game is almost over!

Regardless of the outcome we all want to know as soon as possible so we can get out affairs in order . . . quit jobs, move, etc.

I checked my application status on the Office of Admissions webpage and it still says "Your application cannot be located." It's been like that this entire time for me as well. I know when I talked with housing a few weeks ago they told me I was referred status and the registrar's office was waiting on the department. It seems like our post bac applications are handled by CON and if they accept us then they are entered into the system. But who knows....you can read into anything. You're right docosa... it won't be long now! Just knowing changes have occurred on my ISIS has made my day!

GatorLove, I'll post as soon as I receive any notice (fingers crossed that it's a great big, thick envelope:yes:). I'm in Jacksonville so maybe you will receive your's sooner since you are in Gainesville. Maybe you can ask to pick your letter up in person before you leave instead of having them mail it. Just a thought.

Thank you! And that's actually a great idea ... I'm going to stop by the office Thursday while I'm on campus and see. Ill keep you all posted! Praying for all of us to receive giant acceptance envelopes!! :) :)
