UF ABSN 2023

Hello guys, I'm a prospective applicant to the above program and wanted to create a place for us to come together and discuss any concerns we might have. I am applying to the Gainesville campus and have a 3.6 undergraduate GPA along with a 94.8% overall HESI score. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from UF and wanted to pursue a career in research in this field. It did not take long for me to realize that medicine and helping others was my true passion. I think last year, they sent freshman decisions out on the last Friday of February (2/25) and the ABSN was 3/1 the following Tuesday. Good news is, it should be by next week latest. ??

Everyone, check your emails! And then check them again... and again... and again... ? I'm going crazy here...I can't stand the anticipation!

If we do get results today, they will most likely not come out before 5pm. They almost always post them after 5pm. Last year they didn't, but they were running a little behind last year so I think they were in a rush to get them out. It's almost always after 5pm on a Friday.

Haha! Just another way to drive ourselves crazy ticking down the seconds LOL! I'll be at the hospital tonight volunteering, but you know I'm gonna drop everything to check once that timer hits all zeros!

How was that countdown found? Is it new this year? No other year (I searched the threads from past UF ABSN cohorts) has mentioned this countdown...

It's on the main UF admissions page. I'm not sure if it also includes our admission for this program, but figure that's when they are sending freshmen decisions out. Maybe ours will be included too. It does link to our post bacc applications if you sign in.

Do you even get denials emails? I read in a past cohort thread on here that some people did not get a response.....positive or negative..
