UCSF New Grad Spring 2022

Nurses Career Support

Updated:   Published

Hi all! Thought I would start this thread for the upcoming new grad cohort at UCSF for Spring 2022.

From what I've seen on the website, the application period opens on Saturday, January 8 and goes until Saturday, January 15. No lists of which departments are hiring this go around. Must have your license by March 4th. The program starts on April 4th.

I applied last go around, but I didn't have a test date yet. Hoping I can get in this time!

Good luck to all!

To anyone who has received an offer & signed the digital paperwork on the candidate portal - has anyone from HR reached out to you regarding next steps in the pre-employment process?

Yes! A week or 2 after I signed all that stuff on the candidate portal, I received a bunch of emails from HR for onboarding. It includes all the standard stuff that any job requires such as background check, vaccination status, physical, etc.

Thank you for the information! I signed everything on 02/14 but still haven’t heard anything. I’m hoping to hear from HR soon just so I can figure out what my weeks leading up to the April 4th start date will look like

Hi all! Has anyone heard back from 4E/5N Mount Zion regarding their decision timeline?

Hi all. Good luck to everyone that applied for Spring 2022! I am interested in applying for Fall 2022 and have researched the website. However, after reading through this thread, I don't know where I would find a webinar. Could someone please let me know what link I should be keeping an eye out for? Also, what account should I make to upload the necessary documents?

Good to know. I accepted an offer on 2/18 and was waiting for the HR forms. Reached out to the HR person who offered and was told to keep checking e-mails. Sounds like it takes a few days to send them out.

Hi! Was your offer from 4E/5N at Mount Zion? I remember earlier you were waiting for a response from a med-surg unit.

It was for the adult SICU

Yeah it’s been over a week on my end - but I haven’t been able to get a response from the main HR rep for the new grad residency program (the same person who called me regarding the offer)

My offer was from 15 Long at Parnassus. It's an acute geriatric med/surg unit.

I am wondering how you all found out what campus you will be at? I emailed the HR person but he is out of the office apparently. Does anybody know where the Cardiovascular Vascular Transplant unit is located. I tried googling it, and it SEEMS like it might be at Parnassus but I am not 100% sure. Thank you!

I received an offer from CVT as well & I believe it is at Parnassus, yes!
