UCSF New Grad Spring 2022

Nurses Career Support

Hi all! Thought I would start this thread for the upcoming new grad cohort at UCSF for Spring 2022.

From what I've seen on the website, the application period opens on Saturday, January 8 and goes until Saturday, January 15. No lists of which departments are hiring this go around. Must have your license by March 4th. The program starts on April 4th.

I applied last go around, but I didn't have a test date yet. Hoping I can get in this time!

Good luck to all!

Hi, was wondering if anyone on here is able to share how they liked their experience in the new grad RN program at UCSF? I received an offer and am trying to get some insight. thanks!

I am wondering how you all found out what campus you will be at? I emailed the HR person but he is out of the office apparently. Does anybody know where the Cardiovascular Vascular Transplant unit is located. I tried googling it, and it SEEMS like it might be at Parnassus but I am not 100% sure. Thank you!

Hi! Were you on 6CVT or 10CVT? I was wondering if you had any insight as to the culture of the unit? I.e. is it supportive?, do you feel like you got a lot of good training? Would appreciate any info as I weigh out pros/cons. Thank you!

hey! if anyone from the Spring class could share some insight on "NNR Adult Class 6 and 7 (with EKG test)" are like that would be really helpful! The fall cohort is starting later this month and our Adult class 6 and adult class 7 with ekg test are both the week following thanksgiving. Are these difficult or something that requires much studying or outside preparation for the test? I am trying to see if it is realistic to go across the country for a week to visit both my family and my girlfriends family for thanksgiving. also I am trying to figure out if it is worth asking if I can miss adult class 6 (the one before the test) due to travel or not (not sure if they would even let me). I just don't have any info as to what these classes or the test might be like. thanks!
