UCSF New Grad Program 2023 Questions

Updated:   Published

Hello all,

I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.

Goodluck everyone on interviews! I think it's okay to share the Questions because they don't ask the same questions so it's more so just knowing what to be prepared for! If anyone is willing to at least share one question ?

also, how long is the introduction and do the groups get the same questions asked? If anyone can answer please that would be amazing ?

I don't think it's fair to other applicants who already had their interview.
Questions weren't tricky, very straightforward.

Totally understandable. Thank you everyone for sharing ?

For those interviewing today and tomorrow did you have adult specialties listed as your top choices?

I did! Are they interviewing by specialty?

I'm not sure but I think maybe! I had mine last week and my specialties of choice were all pediatrics.

I also interviewed last week and my specialties of choice were all pediatrics

I interviewed yesterday and the specialties were mixed. I think it was in alphabetical order tbh. Not too sure though.

Do you guys think we'll be routed to our specialties and have multiple interviews or do you think it will be just one interview per candidate?

My group didn't even get to do an introduction. They just jumped right into the two questions ?

Oh no... I'm sorry it happened to your group. Why do you think it happened? Were you on a time crunch?

Probably bcuz they are short on HR reps. Not a big deal they try to go next candidates asap that's what I felt during the interview. I was told they have only handful of reps interviewing for many candidates at least for first round

We started one or two minutes late unfortunately which sucks because I feel the intro is one of the ways to make us stand out...could be what BlueBonnet said too though! I was just surprised we dove right in so abruptly ?
