Hello all,
I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.
How did it go?

I interviewed today and applied for all Pediatrics. I'm not sure if they did it in a particular order, I know some of the applicants I interviewed with didn't mention Peds! And some others I know interviewed after me but their last names come before!!

I applied to only adults; the groupings seem to be by last names. I applied in the fall and back then my group all had the same last name. I know some people whose last name comes after me but interviewed before me even though they also applied for adults... I thought it went by way too fast

I think it is very similar to Stanford. Literally Stanford version 2. (I did interview with Stanford). They(HRs/HMs) have a grade rubric and will grade based on candidate response. If you followed Stanford format, I would say you are in a pretty good chance but also depends on numbers of candidates they are willing to take.
This is my assumption.
I generally feel like this first round interview is to score interview skills(50%?) and your resume/extra activities(50%??) = 100% total score then the units take a look at them and choose candidates from the highest scores.

I know they said that we're gonna find out by Friday, but I was wondering if they'd started sending out invites/rejectionsAlso I was wondering if they give preference to those applicants who already have their RN licenses
I have not heard back yet. I'm wondering the same, but they did say it's OK to have it by March 3rd. Maybe if it really came down to it between two candidates and one did not have their license? I could be completely wrong.

I am so sorry. You might just be overthinking, we all think we did worse than we did! Don't be so hard on yourself. Crossing fingers for you!
