UCSF New Grad Nurse Residency Fall 2020

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Has anyone heard anything about when the applications will be out for UCSF's new grad nurse residency for Fall 2020? Do the applications for the children's hospital and main adult hospital come out at the same time?

Does anyone know which units will or won't be hiring?

Is there a limit to how many units we can apply to? Does it look bad if we apply to multiple units?

Where did you hear about Stanford's residency program being pushed back? Is that for the July cohort?

@soontobenewgrad2020 ooo sorry I meant Stanford children's for the fall! I emailed the recruiter.

@sendhelp Ohh okay thank you! Well that's a shame because I was also going to to apply to Stanford children's haha. I hope the adult hospital doesn't follow suit! Did the recruiter tell you when they would push it back to?

@soontobenewgrad2020 Here's to hoping that UCSF won't postpone their residency program ? But no they didn't mention anything about when they would push it back until. I was told to just check back on the career page for more information.

Ohh for Packard! I thought you meant Stanford adult as well.

I just sent an email to UCSF HR regarding the application. Their website says they only respond to emails M-F so I most likely won't hear back until Monday. I'll update on here what I hear back!

Hi all,

Please does anyone know if the UCSF resume screening software rejects resumes that have tables in them? I organized my in experiences and clinical rotations in table format. Thanks!

Personally, I've only seen one hospital require a table in a resume and that was UC Davis. From my understanding, most hospitals systems don't like table formats but I'm not entirely sure about UCSF.

I am following this thread as well. Hoping the applications open soon.

Thank you so much. You’re correct. I used UC Davis format. I guess I have to make a new resume now. Aaarrgghh. LOL

Just heard the UCSF postponed the application period, but they don’t have the new date yet. The new grad program is still on in October though.

Hi @MurseJojo, where did you hear this from? At least the program itself is not postponed!

@soontobenewgrad2020, I heard it from my old classmate who is currently in new grad program plus UCSF just announced it on their website today. Hopefully they will announce the new date sooner.
