Listing for the New Nurse Residency Training Program (NNRTP): Registered Nurse Training Programs

Looks like applications open July 30th, and I'm antsy to get my application together after having passed the NCLEX but not getting the Stanford new grad residency ?

According to Spring's cohort (https://allnurses.com/UCSF-new-grad-Spring-t740142/), pay starts at around $72.56. I unfortunately missed the webinar and am not sure where to find a recording. I've emailed them so will be sharing it out if it's available.

Let the commiserating begin~

I have final interview with Hem/Oncology on Thursday. I am not sure how many people they are hiring.

Thank you! Assuming it’s too late for me.. when did they notify you of the final interview?

I'll share a bit about how my third interview went, not to give anyone an unfair advantage but more so to ease any anxieties. My third round was more of the same -who are you/why UCSF/why this unit, along with 4 more very ...generic questions if you will. They also proceeded to freestyle about 3 more questions. If you feel like prepping look up generic questions/themes and come up with a scenario for each as well as things you learned from them.. Find a friend to talk to through each, and reheorifice what you might say. And lastly, it sounds generic to say but...BE YOURSELF - don't be afraid to say/ask something that may indicate that you don't know something ... YOU ARE A NEW GRAD NURSE ofc you don't know much.

I don't know if this will be of any use --this is just what helped me prep and it may help you.

thank you!! I have a couple examples/scenarios prepped for themes interviewers typically try to target, but I definitely need to practice them.

what unit did you interview for? how long was your interview?

Did anybody get references sent yet? I just got mine today and I was wondering if we needed 3 or 5 references.

I did all 5 references. I emailed HR since I had 3 out of 5 references completed but they ended up sending reminder emails to the other 2. So im pretty sure its all 5 references.

Excluding HR interview, 2 interviews. One panel and final one is individual with ICN which will be on 31st.

I have the final round of interviews with the PICU in person next week. I also have a second interview via Zoom with the PCICU team next week and was informed they would be scheduling the final interview in-person interview the following day if we were selected. Good luck, everyone!

I have an interview tomorrow with Mt Zion Adult Acute Care

How was your interview?I also have interview with them tomorrow.

For the references, does it have to be clinical instructors, faculty, and preceptors only? Or can we add mentors and supervisors etc.

3 of them have to be managers/supervisors; preceptors* and professors count as managers. I believe the other 2 can be anything
