Listing for the New Nurse Residency Training Program (NNRTP): Registered Nurse Training Programs

Looks like applications open July 30th, and I'm antsy to get my application together after having passed the NCLEX but not getting the Stanford new grad residency ?

According to Spring's cohort (https://allnurses.com/UCSF-new-grad-Spring-t740142/), pay starts at around $72.56. I unfortunately missed the webinar and am not sure where to find a recording. I've emailed them so will be sharing it out if it's available.

Let the commiserating begin~

Hey there!

I attended the zoom webinar and they mentioned to only rank the specialty tracks as a whole rather then specific departments unless you really want one department in particular (I think ranking the department specifically may decrease your odds if that department within the track doesn’t choose you)

Ooh that makes sense! Thank you for clarifying ?

I applied for Adult Medical, Adult Surgical, and Adult Perioperative. My senior practicum was on a neuro floor which isn't a unit offered but I did see lots of patients that fall under both the medical and surgical tracks, so I'm hoping that's enough

I think the adult ambu is specifically neuro if you're into that

Hi all! Does anyone know what they mean by "Do not include any personal information or photos on your resume or cover letter"

I understand no photos but I typically put contact info and an address on my resume/cover letter not sure if this is what they're referring to as "personal information"

Good Luck Everyone!

I was wondering the exact same thing about the personal information. I am curious what others are thinking about what it means.

Hey there!
I attended the zoom informational session and they clarified that we should not be including irrelevant information such as our age within either document. Basic contact info like phone number and email is fine. ?

Thank you! That makes way more sense.

Hey Thanks for clearing that up. I would hate to have my application denied for a small detail mistake like that.

Between the DEI response and my actual cover letter content, it's creeping toward two pages long. I'm starting to get worried about the length.. they never mentioned a maximum length did they? I didn't hear anything on the webinar.

I am not sure how helpful this is but I just found this link that gives UCSF donated examples/samples of resumes and cover letters. UCSF mentioned that these would be helpful resources to use.

does anyone know if ICU will be offered or if it falls within one of the tracks listed?

On the video webinar, a staff member mentioned that the resume can be longer than 2 pages in order to include our clinical/ applicable work experience? I always did the one page resume rule so it feels odd adding more pages. Is anyone else doing this?

My resume ended up being 2 pages as well as my cover letter (4 pages total of documents uploaded) they specified making it longer to include all relevant experience so if you have it I would add it!
