Listing for the New Nurse Residency Training Program (NNRTP): Registered Nurse Training Programs

Looks like applications open July 30th, and I'm antsy to get my application together after having passed the NCLEX but not getting the Stanford new grad residency ?

According to Spring's cohort (https://allnurses.com/UCSF-new-grad-Spring-t740142/), pay starts at around $72.56. I unfortunately missed the webinar and am not sure where to find a recording. I've emailed them so will be sharing it out if it's available.

Let the commiserating begin~

How can you tell what track you are interviewing for?

I'm pretty sure these are just general interviews before moving on to track-level interviews

Are you guys going into depth when you introduce yourselves? or are you gonna put more time on why you chose UCSF specifically? I’m trying to aim both of these for around 2 min total

Thanks for asking this! I'm a bit lost on this too

I've combined my intro and why I chose UCSF coming out to around 1:05-1:15 long! , roughly 30 seconds each so there's more time to answer the question they will be asking us in case we need time to think about it. I'm not even sure what type of question they are going to ask as a general question.

First day of interviews today! AHHHH I'm so nervous! I also wonder if they will be cutting us off at 3 minutes total each considering there are 5 candidates and it seems interviews are being held pretty close to one another? Truly cannot even imagine what the "other question" may be that one can answer in such a short amount of time with no preparation. I assume it has to be something really basic and general since it seems this interview is just really to screen out people but also quick.

Good luck to all the interviewees today! ??

I am not going into any healthcare background or anything of that sort ? I figure they already know all that due to our resumes and coverletter so I would rather not overkill LOL

To all people interviewing today congrats!! Do you guys mind sharing your experience? Did it feel rushed?

It did feel a bit rushed! You have 1 minute for the first question (the one in the email) and 2 minutes for the second question (they'll put them in the chat box). They set a timer on their screen and will count down to cut you off so you don't go over. Everyone answers question 1 first then everyone answers question 2.

I'm sure they'll be changing up the second question but if you review general nursing interview questions I'm sure you'll be fine ?

Did everyone in your interview get the same question 2? Or do they have different ones for everyone?
