A place for individuals applying to the UCSF 2018 MEPN program to contact each other, share information, support each other, and provide advice.

I just got my acceptance into the PMHNP. Congratulations everyone who made it! Best of luck to all of us, including those still waiting!

I was accepted into the PNP specialty!!

Congrats to those who have been accepted, and I hope that those who were not continue to chase their dreams in nursing. Does anybody know if a Facebook page has been set up yet for admitted students?

I think you can search UCSF MEPN on facebook. Congrats and looking forward to meeting you!

I got accepted!! Anyone else for psychiatric/mental health?

Does anyone know the next step? Will we receive packets in the mail?

Me!!! Congratulations ans can't wait to meet you! Which day did you interview?

Congrats to everyone who got in! I got in for AGPCNP.

For those who didn't, I know you're all stellar applicants. At this point it must be somewhat arbitrary who gets in and who doesn't. I'm sure things will work out for you!

Do you guys remember what date Mary said the orientation will be?

Thanks!

Congratulations! The group is called UCSF MEPN 2018.

Mary said orientation would be June 25

I second whoever said it's basically arbitrary at this point, there's obviously no one who got an interview that isn't extremely competent, and interviews always introduce so much chance. I hope everyone's other applications go well, and I will also echo what others have said about reapplying. My friend who finished the CNM program a few years ago applied THREE times before getting in (didn't get an interview the first time, interview but not accepted the second time, third time success). She did a LOT to strengthen her application in between attempts, including doing an MPH and working at Planned Parenthood. I know that's not always an option for everyone- it wouldn't have been for me, but fortunately there are a lot of other opportunities in this field. Good luck to everyone in your endeavors!

Awesome! I interviewed on the 26th. What about you?

This is very true. I talked to someone who works at another UC, and she basically said by the time you make the cut and get an interview, the quality of the candidates are pretty much equal, and the final decision is a very thin slice that is subjective, and also a bet on who is likely to accept the offer.

26th in the AM! Did we meet and are you on the FB page?
