Hi candidates, just stopping by to see how everyone is coping as we wait for the results. The wait is killing me. I gave my all at the interview and really like the candidates that I met on 1/19 before the interview and at the meet and greet session. Praying and wishing everyone the very best as we start the new and decisive month tomorrow.

It's hard to be in limbo! It's out of our hands at this point! Hope we find out sooner rather than later...

Hi all, just passing the time here...question.

Anyone on here who attended the meet and greet on the 19th? If so, what track and was your specialty heavily attended? It seems like there a lot of people who interviewed on the 26th didnt make it to the meet and greet. Just curious

Hmmm, I thought my speciality was pretty heavily attended on the 26th, at least for NM/WH. We had a really great turnout in terms of current students who very kindly took time out of their day to speak with us. It was very nice to have so many current MEPNs attend across all specialties. Lol, some of us stayed until we were kicked out at around 7pm because they had to close the Alumni House.

For NM/WH at the 26th Meet and Greet, we had around 9 MEPN candidates (so about half the invited applicants from the overall applicant pool) 1 current MEPN, 2 students from second year, and 1 student currently in her 3rd year who came to talk to us.

So the Meet and Greet on the 19th was even bigger then the one we attended on the the 26th?

I attended both meet and greet events and felt my specialty was heavily attended on the 26th, but not on the 19th. On the 19th there was one 1st year CNM/WHNP student and four MEPN candidates (although there were at least two that interviewed for CNM who I met in the morning that could not attend in the afternoon). There were definitely more people who attended the meet and greet on the 26th across all specialties.

Hi candidates, how's everyone doing. We are in the final stretch and I pray that all of us get what we deserve. I can't seem to focus especially when I am not busy. The wait for me is turning out to be the toughest part of the process so far. Maybe someone answered this already but do we know when the notifications might go out? Best of luck. Oh I Interviewed for the PMHNP specialty.

When we talked to Steven on interview day, he said the admissions committee meets tomorrow to decide who they will be offering admissions to so most likely the week after on the 16th is what he said. But I personally think it will be the day after President's Day on the 20th since I think it will be delayed due to the holiday which was what happened last year. So the 20th is the day I have put in my calendar. Anyone else have any good guesses?

Thanks for the information. Wishing you well as we await the results.

I think we're all in the same boat, @Nyandika. The waiting is definitely tough!

MEPN Admission Notifications by previous years:

2014: February 14th (Fri)

2015: February 19th (Thur)

2016: February 12th (Fri)

2017: February 21st (Tues)

2018: ???

If I were to make a guess, I'd say the afternoon of February 15th or February 16th.

@acires, thank you for the updates. Good luck to you.

We are also working on the assumption that they will be able to make all their final admit decisions in one day. SJ told us during the interviews that the admit committee met for 10 hours when trying to decide on who to invite to interview. He said it will take the same amount of time to deliberate on the admit decisions. In addition, SJ is the one that double checks and then triple checks the final notifications against the admit selections from the admissions committee before it is sent to the Graduate Division for a final sign off before the decisions are released.

So there can be delays anywhere in that process. One year, according to previous threads, they couldn't find someone to sign off on the notifications in the Graduate Division while in another year the Presidents Day holiday delayed notification.

Just wanted to put that out there to give everyone a better picture of the process so we all don't get to anxious while waiting for a response.

this week or next but for sure after valentine's day...my guess. Hope all had a nice weekend. It's a cold day in the city today, bundle up.
