Darn, I was hoping to meet you since we have been chatting for 6 months now here in AN and you are also in the same specialty. Are you local to the Bay Area? I thought you were since you received your invite so quickly as well.

I was always under the impression (based on the old threads) that the non-locals interviewees who are flying in for the interview are always interviewed on the 3rd Friday of January which will be the 19th next year and the local interviewees are always on the 4th Friday of January which will be the 26th of next year.

San Francisco native! Happy to meet anytime! Yeah, I thought local applicants were invited first and those out of the area were interviewed the following week, but maybe they're mixing it up a bit this time?

Is UCSF your first choice, @TangoDeux?

I honestly drove home ASAP when I read that you guys were getting your letters. Upon getting home, I didn't receive anything yet. I also live in the Bay Area (East Bay) so I was hoping that something comes in... Hopefully tomorrow, and hopefully an invite will come in!

I think they are releasing by specialty. FNP and CNM are the two largest specialties at UCSF which is why I think the interview invites are released first. I think you will get your letter either tomorrow or later this week.

Yeah, I think UCSF changed it this year. Since you received your invite so quickly like I did, I was surprised that we aren't interviewing on the same day since we both live in the Bay Area and would be considered locals. I think they are mixing the locals with the non-locals for the interviews this year unless UCSF didn't receive many out of state applicants this year? I wonder if we will get to meet the current MEPN cohort like the applicants did in the previous threads before the interviews?

I know from the threads, it didn't happen one year due to conflicts with the scheduling.

Did anyone ever ask SJ how many people applied to be admitted this year because I was honestly expecting more people to start commenting on the threads to let us know they were invited to interview. In previous threads, a lot of people started to comment once the interview invites came out. I wonder if the 3 year stat requirement that was implemented starting this year had an impact on the number of applications received for our cohort.

Congratulations! I'm curious, did you see a change in your status in the UCSF application portal? I'm actually out of the country so I'm wondering if I'll see any update in the portal. Good luck on your interview!
