Just wanted to start a thread for UCSD's New Program. Feel free to post any updates or news :)

For Thornton Hospital on my application status it says "Others More Competitive 12/06/2011" so I guess they just updated that today. Under Hillcrest it still just says application received :(

All of mine still say app received. I would at least like any update whether good or bad.

Someone actually contacted a nurse recruiter at UCSD. She said... " if the application status hasn't changed, then ... that means it was not forwarded at all".

Ive been applying to their new grad program since July. All my applications says "application received" and never changed except for one. One of my application now says "referred to hiring department". :confused:

Also, HR told me that they already contacted all the people for interview, except for the Telemetry position (which was posted late).

Just got a call for an interview in perinatal nursing!!! I applied Nov. 8th, on Nov. 18th my status changed to "referred to hiring department" and has stayed like that all of this time. I had honestly just given up on hearing anything further from UCSD and was REALLY SURPRISED and EXCITED to get a call today. Don't lose hope guys!

Thank you! I'll be interviewing next Thursday in the afternoon. She told me it would be a panel interview and to bring at least 6 copies of my resume. I'm glad that I'm interviewing and that I have enough notice to prepare for such an audience.

My interview is scheduled next Thursday too at 3pm. She told me the same thing.

im not sure. my status is still "referred to hiring department".

But it seems like they're calling people for interview for the new grad positions that was posted in the beginning of Nov.

Im assuming they wont be calling anytime soon for the Telemetry position, but then again im not really sure :confused:

EDIT: Ok I just called HR right now and they told me that if we dont hear anything by next week, we can assume that were not selected to move forward.

Oh btw, they said that instead of hiring 4, theyre only hiring 2 people for this Telemetry position AND 1 position is already taken. SO... 1 opening for us. Lol i mean.. thats just insane.

Thanks! I have no idea, I know on the job posting when I applied it said how many, but I forgot the total number of openings.
