UCSD Medical Center New Grad Program January 2012

U.S.A. California

Just wanted to start a thread for UCSD's New Program. Feel free to post any updates or news :)

Hello, I had my interview last week for the Perinatal Department. They are hiring 7 people. It was mostly an informal interview where they asked questions about myself. A suggestion that I have is to (along with your resume) bring a copy of your cover letter, and letters of recommendations for each person. Good luck to those that have their interviews on Thursday!

Do you know when they are supposed to be letting people know if they have received an offer for a position? Also do you know the exact date of when the position begins?

Probably will find out next week. For those that get hired they want you to attend a 2 day course starting on 12/28. The program starts 1/10/12.

Anyone had a call from the new grad program in the telemetry dept at ucsd?

Nope. I'm assuming it's a no, since HR said if we haven't gotten a call for an interview by now, we most likely weren't chosen. I just wish they would update the statuses sooner, than leave us with false hope.

That's sad:crying2: I've been looking for a job since i got here and it really really tough finding one

i kinda gave up already when HR told me that they are only hiring 1 for this Telemetry position..

yeah, same here. guess we can move on from here...

Oh well I guess we just have to look for another program or something.

Was anyone here hired for Thornton IMU? Just curious if that 1 spot out of 2 was already filled.

Thank you for the heads up. I was unsure if I should bring multiple copies of cover letters and recommendation letters. I hope you're interview went well and Good Luck to us all!

They were impressed that I had a packet for each of them, don't know if it helps or not, but it doesn't hurt! Good Luck!!
