Hello Everyone,
I noticed there was no forum for UCONN CEIN 2020 entry. I wanted to start one for the accelerated nursing program. A little bit about myself: I have a BA in chemistry, overall GPA of 3.5 and am still finishing up a microbiology and statistics course this semester. I just submitted my application this past January for stamford and waterbury campus and am still waiting to hear back from them. I would love to hear from others about their experiences on this application cycle. Please feel free to share as much as you feel comfortable.
Good luck everyone!
Hi everyone! I submitted my application to AP first choice on May 6th, my last rec was in on May 11th. I am currently taking Microbiology which will be finishing up at the end of the month but have the rest of my materials submitted. I saw someone previously got a conditional acceptance, so fingers crossed for that! My GPA was a 3.67.

I haven't hit the submit button yet, but I probably will be applying this weekend! Ah! My first choice location is waterbury so we'll see!

I emailed the program office to ask a different question but they added this answer in (maybe they are getting a lot of questions about it). Thought it would be helpful for those who are also still waiting to hear! It seems that the review dates aren't as set in stone as it seems. I think it truly is rolling and just depends on when you hit submit and they receive your materials.
"Because the admissions process is rolling, the committee reads and reviews files as they come in. That process of reading and reviewing files from time received is approximately 4-6 weeks due to the heavy volume of applications that we receive." -CEIN office
They don’t use those deadlines anymore. There’s a committee that meets every 2-3 weeks to review applications. As soon as your application is verified and everything is 100% completed then it will go to the committee and after that you should hear in 2-3 weeks. Good luck! I just found out last week I got in and got Waterbury campus like I wanted! What a relief! The waiting was the WORST!

Congrats hun! That timeframe really isn't bad at all. I see you posted about waiting to hear back just a week and a half ago. I finally submitted my application, and yes the anxiety now is crazy!

I just submitted my application today! My first choice is Avery Point campus! I'm already eager to hear back!
Good luck to everyone!
Hey there, I wish you the best of luck as well. I finally submitted my application at the beginning of the month, my first choice campus is Stamford. My transcripts were verified about 4 days ago. The anxiety right now is crazy, especially since my overall GPA wasn't so great due to messing up at the beginning of my college career. However, I contacted the school and they ensured that they truly look at the application holistically. So I could still be chosen over someone with a great GPA, it all depends on how strong references and the personal statements are as well. Also they will see that the poor grades were years ago when I just got out of high school. I'm hoping for the best right now, because this is truly my passion.
