UCONN CEIN 2020

Published

Hello Everyone,

I noticed there was no forum for UCONN CEIN 2020 entry. I wanted to start one for the accelerated nursing program. A little bit about myself: I have a BA in chemistry, overall GPA of 3.5 and am still finishing up a microbiology and statistics course this semester. I just submitted my application this past January for stamford and waterbury campus and am still waiting to hear back from them. I would love to hear from others about their experiences on this application cycle. Please feel free to share as much as you feel comfortable.

Good luck everyone!

Hi there!

So glad to see a new forum for the upcoming 2020 cohort! I'm finishing up Anatomy and Physiology II this semester and will be taking Microbiology in the fall, but I'm still going to apply by the August deadline. I have a BA in English Literature and I've been a CNA for almost a year and a half now at a local hospital. I'd love to see what others have for stats - both current applicants and people who've gotten in previously! I believe I have about a 3.5 overall GPA.

Can't wait to hear from others along this journey. Good luck to us all!

Hello!

Glad to see this was made! I am working on finishing A & P II at Storrs and Microbiology at Middlesex. I will graduate with a Bachelors of General Studies from UConn this May (2019). I have around a 3.5 GPA

Is there only one deadline this year compared to other years? We are all required to apply by July, correct?

Good luck to everyone applying!

Hey Guys!

has anyone heard back from UConn?

any acceptance or anything??

I think it's still considered a rolling application from February to August of each year, but I know they specifically have written that if you want to be considered for the 2020 cohort you have to have everything submitted by July 15th. Hope that helps!

Hello everyone,
I am currently in the waterbury cohort for the 2019 class. I liked how previous students commented on my forum when i was preparing to the start the program so i thought i should lend a hand as much as i can. Let me know if anyone has any questions :)

Hi everyone. I have a bachelors degree in psychology. My current GPA is 3.3 and my GPA for the prereqs is a 3.4

I'm going to be submitting my application for the waterbury campus once my final grades are in for this semester. I am so excited and so nervous! Has anyone found out if they were accepted yet ? If so, how long did it take for you to find out?

Best of luck to all!

Hi everyone! I am so happy this forum exists! I have been working on my application for months and finally submitted it Friday April 12, 2019! My coursework/transcripts were already verified earlier toady (April 15)! I just wanted to post on here to get in touch with other people who are interested in this program! Best of luck to everyone! (:

I'm so happy to have come across this thread. I have been all over the net browsing and trying to find others who may have been through this process with Uconn before. I plan on submitting my application as soon as my grades for A&P 2 become available next month. Im hoping to be accepted for the Stamford class. I'll be taking Genetics over the summer and Microbiology in the fall. My GPA is about a 3.2 overall, and I've been getting good grades on prereqs so far. I'm anxious, nervous and just a ball of emotions. I've already registered on the NursingCAS website and have submitted my references and all. I still have to complete my personal statement though. From what I understand it seems they don't start sending out acceptance letters until after all applications have been submitted by that last deadline of August 1st. I'm hoping we will be notified soon after that because I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck. Good luck to you all!

Hi there, that's very thoughtful of you. Since you've been in our shoes you know how much anxiety we are experiencing right now lol. I'm just curious to know what your stats were like in terms of grades when you applied. Even though I know they also take other things into account, such as work experiences and the personal statement. Another thing that I would like to know is how long it took to receive the acceptance letter or get any feedback from the school. Thanks

Hi there! I’m applying to Avery Point—anyone else?
