UCLA Summer 2016 RN New Grad Residency Program

Hi everyone! I wanted to make a forum to connect anyone that is applying for UCLA's new grad program starting this summer! Post below if you're interested in applying and which units you're interested in. I'm thinking about SICU, oncology, and the OR.

Anyone else here interview for the Neuro/Trauma ICU? They told me to expect to hear from them in June. Anyone told anything different?

Hey y'all! I have my interview for the Cardiothoracic ICU this Tuesday the 17th! I am super nervous as it will be my first nursing interview. Does anyone who has already interviewed have any specific tips or encouragement for me for (other than the usual prepare ahead of time, know the facility, etc)? I would appreciate hearing from survivors of this interview process :)

Oh man, mine was probably that length too. I was supposed to go at 11 and ended up going at 2:00 ish I believe.

Well, good luck to us!!! Please keep me posted if you hear anything / are notified of anything.

We must've been there at the same time! My interview was for 11 and went at 1. Maybe they shortened the interviews from over 45 minutes so people weren't waiting so long.

I'll keep you updated if I hear anything. Hopefully we both get good news!!! Keep me updated also :-)

You didn't get any email for references did you? (I have not yet myself)

I haven't heard or recieved anything since the interview :-\ I'm hoping this week or next we'll get either a yes or no.

Hey there !! I am another candidate from out of state, has anybody applied for 8ICU (Transplant ICU, SICU, or Liver-Transplant), and if you have interviewed, have you gotten a call back from a 2nd interview?

I just got back from my interview for 8ICU! They said they don't do second interviews and we'll be getting called around June or July with offers
