hi guys! I'm starting this thread for the Winter 2026 Cohort at UCLA Health since the application opened up yesterday (9/5)! feel free to update on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

I received an email saying my application was sent to the hiring manager! And my application status changed to "in review". Hopefully some good news up ahead!

Yeah, for some reason someone said that internal applicants get an interview is that true ? 

I think chances are very high of getting an interview if you are internal but there's definitely no guarantee that will result in placement on a unit.

Applied Sept 5th for L&D & PICU , just heard back, Oct 2nd at 10pm that my resume was sent to the manager. Last name starts with D

Have any internal applicants who applied to adult ICU and medsurg heard back yet?

Do all applications get sent the managers?

To my understanding, as long as you complete all the requirements and meet eligibility, the app gets sent to the hiring managers. It may or may not be your preferred units. 

Someone correct me if I misunderstood  this, but you could be asked to interview for a unit you did not select on the application?

I think that's true - as long as you meet all the basic requirements they will forward to multiple units. There may be a few rounds as well where they forward to your preferred units and if you aren't chosen by ICU for example they may forward on to other units that haven't received as many applicants.
