UCLA New Grad Summer 2014

Published

Hello,

This is for those who applied to UCLA's Summer 2014 New Graduate Residency program, to exchange information and questions.

Thanks! :)

Hey coloredtostitos! Did you have an interview with nticu also?

It's different for every unit. Did you interview for Neuro/Trauma ICU as well? She asked me to come in tomorrow but I wanted to know if that was the case for all the NTICU candidates.

Hey tofu-tofu! How was your second interview?! Did she say when she'd get back to is by any chance

I did! But I wasn't asked for a second interview :( are you from out of town?

Yeah I'm from SD. But I read on a previous nursing forum of a girl in LA that didn't get a second interview until a week later and ended up getting the job a month later! So don't worry, I totally think you're still in the running! How do you think the first interview went for you? Mine were all behavioral questions.

Thanks for being optimistic :) I wish we could all get the position seeing how we were all qualified to get the interview invite :sorry: I feel like mine was average, like I don't think I did anything to stand out necessarily since I didn't come out of there feeling like a champion haha! How'd your second interview go?

I felt like I did well the first interview and the second interview it was hard to gauge bc myself and another interviewee took the tour together bc our appts were close together. She asked me a few questions and then asked if I had any questions. I didn't feel as gung-ho about my second interview as I did my first hah

Nevertheless, congrats on getting a second interview too and I'm sure it went well :)

thank you! And don't feel doubtful. If you live in LA, I'm sure they give priority to those who live out of state. I hope you hear from them this coming week!!!

Hi! She told me we would hear back in June. LSant, you and I may have toured together! ;) My first interview went incredibly fast, but I felt that my second interview was definitely more personal. I'd absolutely love to work there, and I keep getting borderline tachy whenever it crosses my mind! Lol!

For NICU people: I talked to a recruiter yesterday and she said that, even if it looks like people are interviewing for NICU, it doesn't mean you're out of the running until your status changes online! So I guess thats good news :)

Haha really?! That's so funny! Does your name start with an M? It was nice meeting you!! How was the second interview with you? I think mine was a total of 30 min after we toured! Are you from out of town too?

LOL! Yes, that's definitely me. Hahaha what a coincidence! Mine was around the same; 20 minutes not including the tour. So funny! I wish we could just hear back now..
