I'm interviewing for peds. Good luck

I just finished my interview. My manager was like 40 minutes late. We came in and were asked to answer 2 questions in writing before the interview to act as an "ice breaker" for the interview and they collected our CPR card photocopies. You then just wait for them to come get you. The interviews are 20 minutes. My interview was held in a large conference room and there were other interviews for other units going on in the same room which was a little distracting. It depended on the unit though, some seemed more private. It was just my manager but some units had multiple interviewers. The recruiter told us that some managers do multiple interviews, in which case you may have to come interview again, and some decide after one. My questions at least were not too bad, basic interview questions. I didn't get any clinical scenarios or "tell me about a time you displayed leadership" type questions but I'm guessing it just depends on the manager. Good luck to everyone who has yet to interview!

Just had my interview also. Everyone was so nice, I answerd all the questions to the best of my ability. The unit director said I wil hear something the first week of may.

congrats! that eases some of my stress. hopefully the NICU are just the same!

What did the CTICU people think of the interview?

I interviewed with SICU today. Did anyone who interviewed for this unit today feel like they "knocked it out of the park"? I was also told that we would hear something by the beginning of May. I'm surprised there wasn't a second interview for this unit. Does anyone know how many new grads they are hiring for this unit?

Zola I interview Monday for pecs is there any helpful hints for what questions they ask? I would appreciate any guidance

@zola. Im assuming you are talking about the liver transplant/SICU. I interviewed for that today as well. I felt it went very very well!. the UD offered me to tour the unit. Although I COuldnt becuase i had to catch my flight, which i hope doesnt go against me. i felt the unit director was super nice.

Did anyone's application status change?

Specializes in Critical Care, Emergency.

Nope. It's weird mine still says online assessment completed/require docs received, since 3/08 no change.

Has everyone who has interviewed so far had an opportunity to tour the unit?
