Hi I recently applied for the Spring 2024 cohort and didn't see a thread yet. How is everyone's application going?

I'm so discouraged. I got an interview invite yesterday and I'm interviewing with the same unit and same interviewers as last time. do you think they will remember me? should I mention that I interviewed with them last round?! ?

Maybe if you mention it, it'll show that you really want ucla haha

I think that's a good thing! Because if they chose you again they probably are really considering you. I would mention that they did interview you, because that means you did get chosen twice to interview out of many candidates and that your very invested to work for UCLA (also I'm thinking they would ask different questions so you don't have to worry about saying the same thing...possibly the interview could be shorter)

Thank you!

What unit are you interviewing for?

I'm going for perinatal.

Have you applied to other hospitals for perinatal? If so could I ask where...I really want to work L&D but I feel like it's so hard to find a new grad program or hospital that will take new grads for that unit

Whittier Hospital. I'll be working as a postpartum RN starting next week.

They posted a l&d position 2 days ago. If it's not far from you, you should apply! Interview is just an informal talk LOL if you get an interview, you get the job pretty much. I've read that the unit is really friendly and a good place to learn.

thanks for the encouragement!! I hope that's the case. hopefully the questions aren't so far off from what normal interview questions at least! IDK how to prepare for it anymore

Has anyone else heard back for an Interview? Is it safe to assume they have sent them all out?

I've read previous threads and saw that people continue to get invitations to interview even after the first batch get sent out. Although UCLA is the first choice for a lot of us, not everyone accepts their offer. In addition, some applicants have not taken their NCLEX and take it with the pressure of knowing that they already have an interview scheduled and end up not passing. Others do pass but scheduled their exam too close to the deadline and do not make it through onboarding on time. There are many contributing factors for peeps to continue receiving invitations to interview. I say that as long as your application states it is "in review,” do not give up!

For those who have received interviews, could you kindly share what unit you applied for?

I believe I have seen PICU & OR so far in this thread.
