UCLA New Grad RN 2013

Published

Hello to all prospective UCLA Nurses!

My name is Matthew and I'm a CSU Long Beach alumnus.

I'm currently working as a Super User RN for the UCLA Health System.

I hope this thread will be able to answer our questions about the application, interview process and a place for any updates anyone receives for the 2013 new grad program.

With that said, I was told by recruitment that applications will be made available in March. :)

Got a job offer at the CTICU today! Looking for potential roommates by the hospital-- 22 yo female lmk!!

Hey jasszymiin! Congratulations! I am a 26 y/o (man, I sound old) female looking for a roommate as well! I'm moving from San Diego.

@gingerbread326 you're not old ;) I'm 26 too.. I live in Valencia so I'm going to test out the commute for a bit, but will more than likely move closer to the hospital too. Congrats to all! So excited to meet everyone!

Hi!

Has anyone gotten a job offer for 6E oncology Ronald Reagan?

Thanks in advance :)

Hey guys, I am going to start at 4CW ICU -Santa Monica. I am wondering what kind of housing arrangement people are making, any ideas please?

Thank you.

I'm relocating from the bay area too. Any luck in your apartment hunting? I am looking for studio, but if I find a roommate I wouldn't mind.

Got the call and accepted! =) Just waiting for an email regarding the physical exam and stuff.

Good to hear! Did you get a call?

Hi! I'm looking for a place as well. I'll be working at RR though. I'm currently looking for a studio but wouldn't mind having a roommate either.

I'm relocating from the bay area too! Still hunting for something reasonable or a roommate! I'll be at Santa Monica Hospital in the oncology unit. Is your start date on the 26th as well?

For anyone working at UCLA-RR looking for places to live, check out the Palms neighborhood. It is safe, relatively cheap, and convenient to UCLA by car or bus. I went to nursing school at UCLA and lived in Palms the whole time and it was great.

Yes, mine starts on Aug 26 as well, its in ICU Santa Monica. I will be in LA on Friday (aug 9) for the Iz review and physical. I am not sure if I will have some time to search around. I am female and 36, let me know if anything interesting comes up.

I was not hoping for this but got rejection email for liver icu today :(

Good luck guys
