UCLA New Grad RN 2013

Hello to all prospective UCLA Nurses!

My name is Matthew and I'm a CSU Long Beach alumnus.

I'm currently working as a Super User RN for the UCLA Health System.

I hope this thread will be able to answer our questions about the application, interview process and a place for any updates anyone receives for the 2013 new grad program.

With that said, I was told by recruitment that applications will be made available in March. :)

Mine was 10-11 also, but i actually interviewed like 15 min early before the 10 o'clock hour... had on a brown suit and my brown hair in a bun... how bout you?

Did you graduate with your ADN or BSN?

I also interviewed on the 16th. What time was your interview? Maybe we saw each other! My appt was at 10am.

Hello I heard that the start date is perhaps aug 22 ... Did anyone else hear about this ?

Thanks ra7phn. It appears from earlier posts that the reference emails were sent to everyone so I'm sure you'll receive yours soon!! Did you interview on the 16th?

I actually was the first one to get interviewed on the 11th

Hey everyone, I just had my first NICU interview today. It was pretty easygoing and seemed to be more of a getting-to-know-you kind of interview. I hope it went well, and good luck to everyone else who has interviews! :)

Did anyone from oncology get a reference email?

The unit director for CTICU is definitely not a pleasant person. Interviewed with her last year, her body language is not interactive, she stares at the wall, and left to pick up a phone call midway during my interview and never came back. CTICU has a very high turn over rate thus they hire many new grads. I wouldn't be there too long either knowing that a busy unit like CTICU is under that kind of management. Her name was --------------- I think.

Is this reference e-mail sent to all who interviewed or only to those who progress to the next round? I also interviewed for cticu last week (7/11) and haven't received any e-mail.

Neither have I so I'm assuming that's not a good thing, but I'm still staying positive and hoping that it's meant to be this go-round... Good luck!

How did you feel about your interview? I'm asking because I really don't know how well I did on mine and am scared I failed haha.
