I'm gonna be applying for the next round. I read earlier that they ask for 5 references. Does it specify who the references have to be from? Do they want it from nursing school instructors AND previous employers? I haven't talked to anyone from my old job in forever and wouldn't even know who to ask. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
Thank you for the answer JMac. @xluescluesx -- From what I remember, you don't really have to include a previous employer because they count school instructors as "supervisors". The majority of mine were clinical instructors.
Thanks for posting all this great info. I was starting to get a little paranoid that I hadn't received a call from HR yet, but i guess they are just starting? I was hired at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital Acute PEDS unit and was told by my start date and to wait for a call from HR. I still haven't heard anything from HR and I am starting February 27. Has anyone who got hired at PEDS gotten a call to set up their appointments? Im coming from San Francisco, so I want to plan out my flight. Thanks for any info!
I was hired in the PICU...send me a private message and we can chat. I am going to be moving from Sacramento. I have the same start date as you. I called and made my own appt for my physical/drug screen (2/6) and you don't need an appt to go into HR to complete your Live Scan (both must be completed no more than 30 days prior to start date). I have an interview in the PICU tomorrow so hopefully I'll be joining you guys! I'm also from Sacramento? Where are you from? I was born and raised in Folsom but currently am in Nebraska where I went to nursing school. I fly into LAX tomorrow morning and interview in the afternoon, so excited and nervous!!
@missE. Are you joining PEDS too? I havent gone looking yet in person but will be driving down this weekend to start the search. Did everyone who got hired have to call HR first to schedule an appointment for fingerprints/physical or did HR send something first?
