I went through two interviews, the TalentPlus interview...back in March, they called us and asked us all those personality questions and a one-on-one interview with the unit manager. It took them three weeks after the personal interview to send me a "we're moving forward with other applicants" e-mail.
You're correct, based on the units and demand the numbers will differ. Last spring, they were looking to hire about 10 people for the PICU.
I'm not sure about the numbers this time around. The process has definitely changed because the TalentPlus survey was online, which was much more convenient!
Definitely don't lose hope. I have heard that they are sorting through so many applications/references so it is taking them awhile. I wish you and everyone luck. We all deserve jobs!

my friend received a phone call today for PEDS. They gave her a choice of santa monica or ronald reagan and then gave her time slot options for the nov 10 interview day. good luck to everyone! I, myself, am waiting for a phone call. ::Crosses fingers::
It is getting kind of late for us living in other states. I mean Nov 9th is just around the corner and even if they call me lets say a few days before, I'm pretty sure I will not be able to buy the Expensive last minute tickets.
I picked the same units in the same prefrence list as you joe. I read upwards with the exception on M/S theyre making all the call into next week. So maybe MS will be last since it is more towards the end of the month of november anyways.
