UCLA New Grad Residency Winter 2021

Hello everyone!☺️

UCLA opened their New Grad applications for the January/February 2021 cohort a few days ago. I opened this thread so we can keep each other updated. I submitted an application recently and wanted to see if anyone has been contacted yet! Who else applied? ?‍♀️Zoom Interviews start the week of Dec 14. It seems like they are going to be making decisions quick?

My application status said “In Review” and now it says “Closed” ...did people get rejection emails or should I take the “Closed” status as a rejection?? ?

Yup! Make sure you’re on the Internal Job posting Tab. And on your list, there should be a pending “New Grad Position” where you should be able to click and accept the offer. Hope this helps.

Hopefully we could assuage some of our concerns or better answer our questions  through that platform. 

you mean the candidate portal? mine says completed, and under status it says closed. I don't think I made it

Mine said closed late last night:/ I’m assuming that means we didn’t get it ... ugh sad not even a rejection email

Mine still says In Review (with a modified date of 12/18). I know some of those who got an offer have until Monday to accept or turn down their offer so maaaaaaybe there’s still a chance for whoever’s on the same boat, though my hopes aren’t that high tbh. Congrats to those who got in ?

Can somebody tell me how difficult it is to get into this program? Are they very competitive as far as GPA and stuff like that?

Mine says the same as yours! Did you apply internally or externally?

Hi guys, mine still says in review (updated 12/18), hope it means we are on their waiting list for backups like someone mentioned above. Fingers crossed, wish a good luck to everyone... right now I am just so discouraged ?

Mine also says in review, updated 12/18. I really wish there would be some sort of update about what's going on because some people already got interviews and offer letters.

Mine officially just says “closed” after it has been under review on 12/18.
