UCLA New Grad Residency Winter 2021

Published

Hello everyone!☺️

UCLA opened their New Grad applications for the January/February 2021 cohort a few days ago. I opened this thread so we can keep each other updated. I submitted an application recently and wanted to see if anyone has been contacted yet! Who else applied? ?‍♀️Zoom Interviews start the week of Dec 14. It seems like they are going to be making decisions quick?

Good luck everyone!☺️☺️

Same. Mine was last reviewed 12/11 and my status still stays in review...

☹️ mine has the same date and I just checked and it still says in review...maybe we'll hear back this week ??

Mine says the same thing.

Maybe they went through all their internal applicants first? And then started looking at externals?

They already started conducting interviews today and are interviewing people until Wednesday ?

Ya I was thinking they are doing internal applicants first... so maybe after Wednesday we’ll know ?

Can anyone that had their interviews already give some insight as to what questions they asked? Thank you!!

I know some external applicants who are interviewing this week so I think they might be done sending out interview invites )

so this pertains to those already LIVING California?  or have endorsements?

they asked about 5. The only ones I remember are tell me about yourself, the next one was name a time when you delivered safe patient care, where do you see yourself in 5 years. The interview was very short and fast . She said they will make decisions within a few days with the start date being in mid January.

I applied on the 11th, never got an assessment email. My status just says complete. Do you guys have prior nursing experience? I find it so hard for programs to accept because of that. ?

Can anybody tell me what the starting pay is?

You start 6 months with probation pay which is mid 40’s, 44-45, I can’t recall,  $6 night shift differential and $2.75 weekend. After 6 months you get a $6 raise, 3% raise increase every Jan & July.
