Hi Everyone!
UCLA's application for their new grad residency program opened today so I thought I'd make a forum where we could all chat & support each other through the stressful process. Good luck to everyone who applies!
STAFF UPDATE
Tell us about UCLA by visiting University of California (UCLA) School of Nursing | Peer Reviews.
Did anyone have a status change recently? A few days ago, it went from 'Alternate Applicant Selected' and then back to 'Routing to Interviewing Supervisor' within the same hour. I'm checking my status and email with one eye closed...ok, both eyes closed.
My Status did change on Jan 17th. On December 28th it said offered extended/accepted (after they called me). Then on Jaunary 17th it changed to Alternate applicant selected, and then the same day I got an email saying UCLA was sorry that I had not been selected to be a part of the New Graduate RN program for Winter 2017.
I knew something was wrong because I had literally scheduled to fill out new hire paperwork the day before and had received the online paperwork and my account info that very day. I called and they said it was from the other unit that didn't hire me...? I just said "sure." Not cool to receive an email regretting to inform you you haven't been hired after you've been hired regardless of it being another unit lol. Their system seems to be a little off at times.
I'd call if I were you. Did you get an offer via phone call?
That's terrible...i'm sorry LuRN11 : ( They called and verbally offered you the position? So does that mean the offer still stands? I thought we were only being considered for one of our selections.
I have not received any calls/emails regarding my status. After my interview I went to HR, due to me not making it before the interview...they did a livescan which was confusing to me because I'm not an out-of-state applicant. I explained to the person that I had not been offered a position, just an interview. She said sometimes they do it at the hiring manager's request.
Can anyone please tell me the specific protocol for letters of recommendation? I know they need to be on professional/university letterhead. Do we attach them online when applying ourselves/OR do they need to be mailed in an envelope signed and sealed/OR do they need to be uploaded by those that wrote them?
Would greatly appreciate any help!
