UCLA New Grad Residency Winter 2017

@ anybody that can answer.....

I was a trying to remember everything in the interview but the exact structure of the residency program kind of flew over my head. How is it again?

2 days at the bedside for 12-hour shifts + 1 or 2 days in class?

is that right? How may class days/hours in class per week?

Congrats on your interview! It sounds like it went great! I was invited for unit tour immediately after my interview as well but I didn't do a livescan. I go to school out of state but I'm from Californa so maybe that had something to do with it? I haven't heard anything back yet but I think they were waiting to contact people until after doing all the interviews for the unit. I heard that they aren't doing 2nd interviews for NTICU and the director told me we will hear something back towards the end of December. And they told me that the program is 2 12 hour shifts on the unit and 2 class days per week. Good luck to you!

It would make sense about no second interview being that the first was listed as a single person interview, but turned out to be three people--including two floor nurses... well. I do hate the waiting game, but at least I have a current job to keep my mind busy.

i also interviewed for Psych a few weeks ago, but have not had any updates thus far. I'm hoping we all hear something this week. Good luck to us all!

Anyone hear from 5E, Tele. They said they were going to call us for a second interview in early December.

I spoke to HR and they said that decisions have not been made. I know internal candidates have already had offers. We should hear something by no later than December 23rd which follows the timeline that was given. Also they will send out emails for if you did not get the position which hopefully will not be any of us. Good luck to everyone and wish you the best. Keep us posted if you get offers!

Re: internal applicants, do you know if they've already finished sending the offers to all of them first and if it's for the unit you applied for it all units in general?

Im not sure at all about specifics regarding internal candidates I just know an internal candidate who has already received an offer.
