They have a lot of applications to go through, you have to patient with it. It's good to look into other jobs and programs to have multiple options in case something doesn't work out. That's what I'm doing because you aren't guaranteed a position from a specific company or if you'll like what you're being offered

I am! I've been balancing working as a nurse extern for about 2 years while still in school, so I'll probably be continuing that job until I start a nurse residency program 😭

Urgent cares, adult daycare centers, etc. seem like good temp jobs to do! I'm looking into those at the moment since many new grad programs don't start until September.

OK cool, thank you! Just wanted to make sure bc I know most residences say less than 6 months of acute care or hospital experience 😭

Currently work as a caregiver. However, I'm looking at small community hospitals to work at while I wait. I got offered to work ICU as a new grad, thinking of taking it since I wouldn't start until April which puts me right under the 6 month mark. I want to get some experience under my belt, so I can be somewhat confident
