Hi- Is anyone applying to UCLA's MECN program for next fall?
I really wanted to go to UCLA, however, I really liked my offer at the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Patient Care Assistant. Essentially, it's a an upgraded CNA. However, you are trained to give some medication, some phlebotomy stuff, inserting catheters, and suppositories. I believe there may be a bit more. I told my supervisor I would commit about 2 years, which wouldn't allow me to take admissions at UCLA if they offered. Pay is pretty good for only getting the position with a CNA license, and all training is paid. Good Luck to all that applied, one less competitor.
I want to hear from current students about their experience with UCLA MECN program. I want to have a sense of how helpful are the faculty, students, and most especially the school itself with your problems during the program. If you can add more opinion on top of what I want to know that will be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)
Hi Everyone-
Happy 2014 to you!! I have a question: I was waiting for the next cycle of my AMEX to sign up for my last pre-req (Physiology) which I wanted to take online through UCLA Ext. Unfortunately, I waited too long and it is full. (Agh!!) It is hard for me to take night classes b/c we have 2 small children and my husband works late. Do any of you know of any other online Physiology classes that are on the accepted pre-req list? I am painstakingly going through the list now but just wondered if someone knew offhand. Thanks for any info.!!

Oh I need Physiology not Psychology!! Hahaha!!! Btw: I am stumbling through BYU's Anatomy and it is grueling. I am 2/3rds of the way through. Will finish this month. Also (and most important!) I just got an email from UCLA Ext that I can now enroll in the previously "full" class so maybe someone dropped it. Phew!) Thanks!!!!

I received an email at the end of November stating that my application was received and complete. It also mentioned that you should hear of your admissions status between March-April. I was relieved that everything was complete and in place ::crossed fingers:: ahh the waiting game!.....
