Hi all,

See there is no thread yet for this upcoming cycle, I know it's a bit early, but figured it might calm my anxiety to connect with others going through application!

Does anyone know if there is a minimum to the essays? I know it's 1200 words maximum but I'm not really close to that amount and I'm not sure if I'm writing too little.

Not that I heard about. I am around 600-800 each with some edits left to do, and don't anticipate coming anywhere close to 1200 words. I think if we have quality impactful statements length is secondary.

I've spoken to a couple alum who have told me to not stress too much about the word count as long as you're able to convey a strong statement for each prompt. It's better to have a strong ~800 word statement than a 1200 word statement with a bunch of fluff and filler words.

I remember hearing somewhere that for each essay section, we're able to split them up into separate responses since there are two prompts each for the statement of purpose/personal history essay. Is anyone able to confirm this?

Is the application due at the end of day on Thursday the 31st or by 11:59 tomorrow on Wednesday? Curious because on the website it just says due by the 31st.

I started with 1000+ words each. Cut both down to about 750-850 words. They still feel too long.

Did anyone else's recommenders have trouble finding the recommendation template emailed to them?

Did anyone's fee waiver/payment page go missing? I uploaded a fee waiver documentation a couple months ago, but couldn't submit until today.  I know it said you need to submit your application at least 5 days prior to the deadline if you are trying to get a waiver approved and pay before the deadline if needed. The whole page is gone for some reason and I couldn't delete the fee waiver upload nor pay the application fee.... ?

I just turned in my application, but did not see where to pay for the application fee? anyone else experience this?

this happened to me to ? not sure what to do

I just paid mine! There should be a checklist page once submitted and it'll list the things you still need to complete/have completed. The application fee should be one of the first things you see for the things you still need to complete. Hope this helps!
