UCF Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN

Published

Is anyone else applying to the Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN cohort at the University of Central Florida? It seems like it is taking forever for the actual application to open up (January 1).

Hoping to see some other folks just as excited as I am!!

Thank you so much Lanntis, you've been beyond helpful!

It's no problem, I enjoy academic advising! Also, when I had all these questions 1.5 years ago it was hard to get direct answers. I'm glad I can directly supply them for others.

Absolutely - Lanntis, you have been beyond helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to be so detailed and thoughtful! More than appreciate your dedication to helping us.

Is anyone else applying to the traditional program as well? I hadn't really considered this but just got an email that the deadline is 2 days away and don't want to regret not applying while I have the chance! To anyone who is applying for it, do you know if the post-bac application we submitted for the Accelerated BSN will also count towards the traditional program? I know we had to apply for a specific semester so I'm not sure if it will carry over. Thanks in advance!

@g8rgrl1219 My cohort was the last one that was able to apply to the traditional program if you already have a bachelors degree. If you already have one you are no longer applicable to apply to the traditional program. That's part of the reason why the applicant number went up to over 300 this year. So fret not, you have not missed out on any possibilities available! Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, that is extremely helpful!

You can apply to the Daytona and Cocoa Beach campuses for the traditional track. I applied earlier this month.

@ashep94 is correct on that, I should of said for the main campus in Orlando, the traditional program is no longer available. Thanks for clarifying!

I applied for the Cocoa program as a backup! My UCF application that I used for the 2nd degree program also worked for the traditional program, you don't have to another readmission application :)

Wanted to pop in and say hey - I'm applying for summer, as well! Two time UCF alumni, here, so... I guess you could call me a... professional student :p Crazy excited to hear back in March!

Lots of luck to everyone :)

Is anyone signing up for registration? They keep asking me to and sending emails, but with over 300 applicants I don't really want to pay for orientation if I don't get a spot. Im worried about waiting too long and the orientation filling up.

Stressing out!

I was wondering if anyone else here applied for the Helene Fuld Trust Scholarship for Accelerated BSN Students. I submitted the application on the Scholarship A20 website before the Feb 1 deadline. Although an essay was listed as a requirement, when I went to fill out the application, the essay topic questions were broken down individually. I took it in stride and broke up my essay. Tonight when I checked the scholarship website, it looks like the format was changed. I see a single question- #7- addressing the essay- and underneath its stating "No answer submitted". Its also showing the Deadline as February 19th, not January 1st. I am wondering if they changed the format and did not inform applicants that the applications needed to be updated, or if I was somehow missed.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Either way, I am really dismayed at possibly losing this great opportunity.
