  1. When in August do you find out? That is tough. On one hand, you will have something to fall back on in case you aren't accepted to FGCU. On the other hand, you will be putting someone else on the waiting list in a time crunch to complete the requirements to start the nursing program. How competitive is the program there? Also keep in mind you will be graduating later- is that a concern for you? Good luck in your decision!
  2. Hi everyone! I just got accepted to the UCF Cocoa Program! I got the phone call today! Anxiously awaiting my e-mail with my "to do" list for the next seven days. Is there anything I can get a head start on?

  4. Yes, its helpful! Good luck at UF!
  5. Ashep94, Congratulations!!! Would you at all mind sharing your stats on here or in a PM? I'm just curious how far off the mark I was.
  6. I also got waitlisted for Cocoa. I am so dissapointed.
  7. Any other waitlist-ees still on this board? I think I just received the dreaded "alternative options" e-mail. I was just hoping to connect and commiserate. I am also curious if anyone else has also applied for the traditional program in Cocoa.
  8. Is anyone else here applying to the Cocoa program for Fall? I also applied for the Second Degree BSN but was waitlisted. Hoping I still have a chance.
  9. I tried to call Nursing Student Services, but had to leave a message. I am sure they are being inundated with calls today. I thought maybe someone else who got waitlisted might have the answers in the meantime. My thoughts: 1. I also applied to the Cocoa Traditional Program. Does anyone know if RSVPing to the waitlist will affect our other applications? (Also that decision is a whole month away... this is going to be a long month) 2. There was an e-mail awhile back about deferring admission to Fall 2018 if we were accepted to the Summer program. I was told I could wait to see if I was accepted. Now I'm wondering if I go back and do that and then end up with a spot, would that interfere with anything? 3. How would financial aid work for someone on the waitlist? If accepted at the last minute would it be too late for aid? Also, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who made it in.
  10. Did you get an interview for the scholarship? I was also wondering if anyone got a "No thanks" on it.
  11. I just wanted to everyone luck and congratulations to those who were able to obtain scholarship interviews. I wasn't feeling nervous, but the anticipation has finally hit home- prepping myself for either outcome.
  12. That makes me really antsy as well, and now I'm wondering if that is why I wasn't contacted about missing the essay for the scholarship. I suppose it is what it is, at this point. I also wonder what they meant by "just in case" . Counting down til March...
  13. It makes me feel a little bit better that it wasn't just me, but I am assuming that they told you to submit by midnight because they extended the deadline to February 19th. In that case unless they push it further it will be too late for me. I checked my e-mail to be sure I didn't miss something similar to what you received, and I did not.
  14. Stressing out! I was wondering if anyone else here applied for the Helene Fuld Trust Scholarship for Accelerated BSN Students. I submitted the application on the Scholarship A20 website before the Feb 1 deadline. Although an essay was listed as a requirement, when I went to fill out the application, the essay topic questions were broken down individually. I took it in stride and broke up my essay. Tonight when I checked the scholarship website, it looks like the format was changed. I see a single question- #7- addressing the essay- and underneath its stating "No answer submitted". Its also showing the Deadline as February 19th, not January 1st. I am wondering if they changed the format and did not inform applicants that the applications needed to be updated, or if I was somehow missed. Has this happened to anyone else? Either way, I am really dismayed at possibly losing this great opportunity.
  15. Has anyone on this thread started at UCF Cocoa yet? I am curious how the schedule is- I just applied for Fall 2018. Is it possible to work through the program? Thank you in advance.
